BANGKOK POST: Nissan eyes another eco-car in Thailand

The addition of the new model would take production of eco-cars at the NISSAN Thai plant to about 100,000 units

Nissan Motor, Japan's second-largest automaker, wants to produce its latest eco-car in Thailand after its initial eco-car, the Nissan March.

Once the new model's production starts, Nissan's output of eco-cars here will top 100,000 units this year, with an aim to export the new model back home, said an executive at Nissan's Thai unit.
